My house and my car both suck. Was wondering what to get first?

I think it's better to have a nice house. A house is where you eat, sleep, live. A car is how you get places.

It doesn't matter how nice your car or house is if you yourself don't look nice, I don't mean actual looks, I mean clothes, personal grooming, attitude etc.
First impressions last, a nice pair of clean pressed jeans and shirt (t-shirt) and a fresh clean smell, invest in an aftershave, I love the smell of Lynx Africa. Hair tidy etc, anyone who is impressed by fancy cars and houses are shallow, I would much prefer the person be interested in me rather then what I owned.
If it came to a personal choice of a car or a house, then I would go for a house, its a good investment, you always have a place to take someone, (no flatmates) and you can always get a better car later.

Depends on which one we see more really. If your house is a complete reck and it's a small place, we don't see ourselves in it.
If your car is horrible, than we probably won't want you to pick us up in it. Not because we'll only ride in BMWs, but because dirty/smelly/crappy cars are just uncomfortable to be in.
It's best that if you don't have a good house or car, that you keep both very clean. That'll help a lot.

It's sexier to have a nice car. You can live in your car, but you can't drive your house.
