The Sun is a star. A solar system is a sun with it's accompanying planets. Solar systems begin as a large rotating cloud of gas. An event such as the shockwave from an explosion of a nearby supernova can cause the cloud to coalesce. Smaller particles clump together to form larger objects. The greatest density is in the center of the cloud as it has the most gravity. As the masses increase, so does the temperature. After millions of years, the core of the central object's mass reaches a critical point and ignites through nuclear fusion and creates a sun. There are times when more than one sun can be created. The rest of the spinning disk of material continues to accumulate dust and rocks and form into planets. The planets close to the heat of the sun are terrestrial and rocky. Farther away, where there is less heat form the sun, giant gas planets form. Yet farther, where there was less material available to form planets, are where planetoids and comets exist.

What is a Star, what is a Sun?
A sun and star are the same thing, they call stars that have planets around it a Sun, stars that do not have planets are called a star, but they both are made of the same thing Hydrogen gas, some are small and some are very large, there are many different size stars, our Sun is next to the small star.
The Universe has been forming for billions of years, and out there some where Galaxy's and stars are still forming.

The sun is a star so it would form the same way as all stars do, just at different times as the hot cosmic plama cools, becomes hydrogen and bunches together to form a spherical body that compresses and generates fusion.

Evidence is in the eye of the beholder. Astronomers and cosmologist have tried hard to interpret the evidence of Creation. However the theories that try to explain how Stars were created, and our Sun which furnishes light on Earth as well, are only imaginative and purely speculative.
Perhaps in the future Our Creator will funishes us with new Planets which would have more favorable conditions than those on Earth ,so we could live forever?.We just cannot understand everything.

The Sun was formed by the same process and from the same material as all the other stars!

The Sun is a star, so why should the processes be any different?
