I deliverd a baby 6 months ago as of the 17th of this month. before we left the hospital i was given depo and then i bleed for 14 weeks ( 2 weeks late gitting depo) after my second shot of depo it stopped all together. know its almost 24 weeks later after having my son and i have been bleeding going for about 3 weeks again, called the doc last week on this.

im getting very frustrated but my doctor who was my ob and is my gyn and regular doctor keeps blowing it off like its no big deal.

but i think something is off or wrong and im not sure my next shot is due the 28 of this month and she wants me to wait until then to see how im doing.

before i became pg i was on depo and never had a period. and when i had no birth control at all i had 6-7 day periods.

i am at my wits end on what to do about this, is it ok to bleed this long. and im sick of hearing its my body getting use to not being pregnant because after 6 months you would think everything would be back to normal

People on depo have bled that long, if not longer.

IMO its a horrible drug that should be taken off the market.

Google "depo provera lawsuit" and check out its reviews on http://www.rateitall.com

I was on it for four years and am so glad I'm OFF of it. Its a horrible drug to MANY women!

Seek another opinion if this doctor keeps blowing you off.

It's normal.
Having a baby throws off your hormones and it takes a LONG time to adjust, so just because you never had problems before doesn't mean you won't now.
I'd switch to a pill, but keep in mind the side effects from the shot can still last for months afterwards.
A little more research next time wouldn't hurt

while i became into on Depo, I bled purely approximately the finished time. I had to end getting the shot, it wasnt reliable for me. No, I dont think of its a demonstration that shes pregnant, yet have her call the physician if shes somewhat worried.
