As an Englishman who is currently in the USA on business i feel i must ask this.
When i was recently getting drunk in a New york pub, i noticed an American attempting to drink two pints of lager one after another.Obviously the outcome was rather ugly, but it got me thinking "What is the record amount of lager an American has drunk?"
You can give your answers in 1/4 pints measures.

I think you would have to go back to colonial times to find that record, since people on the American continent were still subjects of the king, and thus could still drink large quantities.
Since we threw off the yoke of tyranny of King George, we didn't need to drink as much, since there was less wallowing in misery.

Why does your first question have absolutely no relation to your second one?
Steven Petrosino of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania (born November 1951) consumed 1 liter (33 ounces) of beer in 1.3 seconds to set a world drinking record at the Gingerbreadman Pub in Carlisle, PA on June 22, 1977.
And I'm pretty sure an Australian holds the official record for amount of beer consumed at one time, but I can't find a source. Sorry Englishman, but you're not the best at either.

Does it really matter who can drink more? You have GOT to be under 25 and I should hope so because anyone older than that would have most likely gotten over this kind of silliness.
Life is short, don't waste it being angry and bitter.

A pint is two cups, many Americans are often in their cups.
The most American beer drinking is done at home in cans, they can measure anywhere from foolish to dead, depending on how many you drink. Judging from the amount of aluminum we use, I say we drink a mine or two a week,
This is one tough beer drinking county.

American beer what can i say..ide rather drink a dieing nuns piss its stronger.they cant drink anything strong and just as well..imagine a drunk yank in his size 12 army stomping boots tip toeing around the world pretending to keep the peace and steeling everything in site at the same time.send all those odd ball Americans back to there original country's then we can use the USA as a big refuse dump.

I don't but anyone who drunks like nuts has a problem with thier ability to deal with reality.
It would be so much better if alchohol was a controled substance.
