I don't know when it did but don't you realize that liberals need a "cause" just so they can exist? They can't just "be", they need a "cause" to live.

Capitalism and the environment can work together.

Change is needed.

Otherwise, we may not have any capitalism to deal with in the future.

Do you now understand the ironic irony of what you are trying to point out?

I hope so, because I am very concerned about this planets future and if it means changing how we make money, and slowing down (which won't be a bad thing) then so be it.

Peace

Jim

Since the save the planet people will not propose a solution that takes in a discussion of the economic cost of their dreams it is proceived as they are against capitalism. Now if they would map out a solution that shows how to pay for the dream they would get more followers & respect.

A bad economy supplies less assets to pay for responsably disposal of the by products of business/living.

I don't know much about the page.. but I doubt it's a reliable source from just glancing at it.... though the hardcore environmentalists have always had a beef with oil companies and factories and the likes... that's not all environmentalists... and that's pretty specific.. not attacking all capitalism..

but, no matter what you do or where you go... you'll always find someone who wants to take something to the extreme.

I wasn't aware it had. Unfortunately, most pollution and destruction of the environment is caused by big business.

I base my buying decisions partly on a company's environmental responsibility. Companies like Dow, Coca Cola, Mitsubishi, WalMart, and Chevron-Texaco will never receive a penny from me. I prefer to give my hard-earned money to companies that care.

Capitalism at it's finest.

Who's trying to bring down Capitalism? I've never heard or read about that in these halls......examples please.

That would warrant a news bulletin on national TV

I'll go you one better.

When did capitalism go from "making a better mousetrap" to buying politicians and being financed by Taxpayer Dollars?

Your premise is blatantly false. There is no proof of any environmental advocacy attempting to bring down capitalism.

Next overexaggerated generalization.

Duh! Since nobody has suggested 'bringing down capitalism' I'd have to reject your thesis. I'll bet the ditto-heads will agree with you, but I wonder if there would even be ditto-heads if there was a 'Fairness Doctrine'...Propaganda works...look at you!
