glad when school starts again? So many of the people posting here have such poor grammar and spelling it's a shame they don't go to a year-round school.

I will be glad when school starts again. I am a teacher and I am appalled as are you at the mistakes people make. ABC means spell check people.

You cannot blame it solely on the American school systems....education starts at home and "should" continue IN the home!
Secondly, not "all" people who come on here are from the States or the Uk.
Yahoo Answers, is international. There are many people who come on here that are trying hard to write in english, as it is not their first language.
Last, spell check does not always want to work.

Heck, half the time people answering questions do not even bother to read what is written, let alone "attempt" to spell properly.
As far as our school systems? Yes, it is sad

I am so excited!!! I can't wait till school begins!
Also, I was just thinking, before I saw your question, how horrendous the questioner's spelling is on some of the questions Iv'e seen. So perhaps with the new school year the grammar will improve on Y&A. :)

What is really a shame is that our schools today do not grade students on grammar and spelling, that is so sad.

When I was at school we had to proof read everything we submitted! If people just read back what they had written mistakes could be picked up! Everyone is in a rush these days!

Well young lady, the older you get and the longer one is away from school, they tend to misspell and mis pronounce words and sentences, this can very well happen to you as you get older, and you look back on this day. Have A Bless day!
