Death is when your are done with one life and is ready to be judged, one way or the other. You don't have another life or anything, just a new one, either a horrible one full of torment or one filled with joy, depends on what u were doing on earth

For me, death occurs when the brain ceases to function and the body is being kept alive (if it is) on life support only.

I came to this conclusion when I spent a lot of time in hospitals with my mom, when she was sick. (she passed away at home, like she wanted to)

She was a pretty funny lady, though, and in the hospitals when she would be asked, "Do you want to be on life support if necessary?" (only they say it differently) ... she'd say, "Only if I'm chasing the machine down the hall and yelling for it."
