Disable Symantec?

Does anyone know how to disable Symantec even though I am not the administrator? I used to be able to go into my start and right click on internet, but I can't remember how to do it and what settings to change.

If you aren't the system administrator, you may not be able to disable it.

Right click the Symantec Icon and it should let you disable it.
Lower right side.

You should be system administrator, to be able to disable Norton.
