Potatoes.
So many ways to enjoy a potato.
But if I couldn't cook them then.....
I'd rather starve.
Yes but isn't it better to survive off one food rather than no food?

Soy would be as close to a perfect plant crop as I can think of. Still isn't adequate, but best I can think of.

Wouldn't matter. We can't survive on just one kind of food. It wouldn't have all the necessary nutrients and we'd eventually die (look into "scurvy" for one example).
