Can't think of many candidates, can you? Wish there were more black role models....but until there are, it is unlikely...More likely to be of Asian origin than Afro/Caribbean.

I think its time for a real prime minister, dont care what colour he is. Aslong as he can look after this country and make this country a better place, am all for it. A prime minister who really cares for the citizens of this country and doesnt want to create another world war :).

It is time for the best Prime Minister/or President. Color/gender should not be considered.

It's time for a PM who will have enough conviction to stand for freedom & truth & a system that represents the needs & desires of the people.
A PM who will admit when he is wrong & not stay wrong out of pride to support a false position.
A PM who didn't have to reflect in his opinions the will of the people AFTER something went wrong like he knew all along.
Don't care what colour he is as long as he has the, thus far, missing ingredients. As long as he is a genuinely sincere statesman whose concern is primarily for the people he governs & not for his own position.
Am I being realistic here?

How about you try to elect someone based on their qualifications and merit, and not just because you think it's about time you have a black prime minister.

Why not? As long as s/he was competent, colour makes no difference.

Lets face it I'd be happy to have any sort of decent leader after the mess Blair left the country in.

We'll have that Obama bloke from America if the Yanks don't want him. He seems to be a genuine socialist (or as socialist as you can be in America)!

The Tories have a good bloke at the moment - Adam Afriyie, 41.
Maybe one day.
You can be sure that crypto-racists will be calling our first black PM an Uncle Tom or not black enough or some rubbish like that.....just like some feminists say Margaret Thatcher wasn't woman enough.

Prime ministers should be elected on their policies not due to their colour, gender or sexuality.

Sir Trevor MacDonald would be a good candidate, were he a politician. For me, the next PM should be Boris Johnson.
