Mine is from As I Lay Dying's "Meaning In Tragedy"

"I have traveled so far to so little meaning in tragedy"

I heard this song while my mom was goin through cancer, and it hit me. Instead of putting so much effort into trying to understand the pain that you are going through, why not just take it for what it is, and live with the fact that life isn't over. I am sorry for your loss. My condolences go out to you. I hope that things will go only upwards for you. I have lost a few of my best friends as well. I know how painful it can be. Just look at it this way. Your friend wouldn't want you to suffer. Instead of mourning their absence, celebrate the presence that person will always have in your heart.

Come mothers and fathers throughout the land
Don't criticize what you don't understand
Your son's and your daughters are beyond your command
For the times, they are a'changin.

Bob Dylan

I have always liked this line. I liked it for different reasons when I was younger. Later I liked it because it reminded me to try to run my kids' lives (well not too much anyway) and kept me mindful that they see the world differently from me. It also makes me aware that I need to stay in touch with the world so I am aware of how the times they are a'changin.

Love this question.

It's not really a sentence, it's a verse but here it goes.

"But if you run out, I'll share mine. Or anytime, or anytime just pay me back with memories to hold :)"

It's a song called 20 years old by Mike Perkins. He's basically talking about BYOB at a party, but turns it into something that I try to live by. That material possesions shouldn't rule your life. And to share haha :)

Johnny's in the basement, mixing up the medicine, I'm on the pavement thinking about the government, the man in the trench coat, badge out, laid off, says she's got a bad cough, wants to get it paid off.

Subterranean Homesick Blues....Bob Dylan.
Just love Dylan and have no idea what its supposed to mean.

If I leave here tomorrow would you still remember me? Coz I must be travelling on now, coz there's too many places I gotta see...

Opening lyrics to Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd

I still have a feeling that I haven't yet found my true purpose in life and possibly never will.

"Coz there's nothing strange about an axe with blood stains in the barn, there's always some killing you have to do around the farm" - Tom Waits, Murder in the Red Barn. It's kind of creepy really and a cool rhyme too.

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

By Snow Patrol - Chasing cars

This was what i felt when i was having problems with someone so dear to me recently and i just wanna have him close and just shut all the happenings in our lives and just forget everything when we are together... Guess i never know
