Horses have served humans throughout history, carrying us on their backs, tilling our fields, drawing wagons and carriages, enriching our lives as friends and companions. In the United States, horses have never been raised for human consumption, yet American horses are being killed so their meat can satisfy the palates of overseas diners in countries such as Italy, France, Belgium and Japan. Show horses, racehorses, foals born as a “byproduct” of the Premarin© industry (a female hormone replacement drug), wild horses and family horses all fall prey to this detestable foreign industry.

particular. Animal killing is an offence. There are continually animal killers and animal eaters in human society and that they freely kill animals on a regular basis by using the masses for no purpose different than the delight of the tongue. a guy's character is judged by using his intentions and planned strikes. If a guy intentionally and knowingly crushes any threat loose animal, then it somewhat is violence. yet while involuntarily or in unavoidable situations, some bugs are killed, then it somewhat is an ultimate subject. yet to kill others with none particular reason or to abet killing for food is undeniable homicide. Spiritually -particular, homicide is homicide, would not count animal or human. it somewhat is why the finished Thiruvalluvar says. ???????? ?????? ??????????? ???????? ????? ??????? ??????. - 260 Translation : Who slays nought,- flesh rejects- his ft till now All living issues with clasped hands adore. clarification : All creatures will connect their hands at the same time, and worship him who has under no circumstances taken away existence, nor eaten flesh. I'm sure the Michael Vick case will change many things. Particularly now that his co-defendant took a plea bargain with less jail time in exchange for testimony against Vick. If nothing else, it will make animal cruelty a more public issue. The more public something is, the more likely it is to be addressed.

I agree that animal cruelty deserves harsher punishment (if you can hurt an animal, you're obviously one sick cookie and shouldn't be allowed in society. many serial murderers start out with hurting animals and move on to humans) but I think another issue that needs to be addressed is the large number of unaltered pets that reproduce in large numbers resulting in huge numbers of animals being put down every year.

No, I'm afraid I don't agree if your point is that the penalties for harming an animal should be on par with those for harming a human. Simply repeating "it's not fair" isn't a very compelling argument.

i absolulety agree with you! our goverment spends so much time and money studying silly things and helping other countries when there are so many things here that they can help with - animals being one of them. they are living and breathing like us. should be treated much better. and the people that hurt them deserve to be treated the same way they treated the animal they hurt!

What about how cruel animals were to humans before we got technology?

We must be unrelentless in our battle against nature until everything's dead. They used to eat us and not care about our feelings. How sick of them.
