What percentage of Americans,even care one way or another about the Iraq people?

I don't give two hoots about the Iraqi people other then they are human beings. It would have been nice to see this country muster the same kind of support for our citizens in New Orleans and along the gulf coast after Katrina, now that I care about. How am I supposed to care about Iraq when we have so many problems right here in our own country. Two full years after Katrina and some people still have no home and no hope. Why should I care about the people of Iraq before I care about my own fellow citizens? I think our priorities are misplaced.

A lot of people believe that the job of 'defending' them was finished with the capture of Saddam.
American interests abroad are better (but not exclusively) served by a stable, open Iraq. So, they'll have to care a little longer.......

Most Americans care about the Iraqi people because their money in form of taxes are spent in Iraq.

Preventing what fighting from coming here? Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, so stop and ask yourself what fighting is being prevented from coming here. Since when is it better to fight for the wrong reasons, than to not fight at all?

This is what most who support the war rationalize. No offense, but their IQ is pretty horrid if this is their rationale.
