There's so much variation in when the baby engages, or starts to. One of my friend's babies engaged at 30 weeks, and others not until they are actually in labour. It has no real bearing on when you'll go into labour. You don't have to worry about pre-term labour for this reason.

Most babies drop anywhere from 32wks onward but its not an indication of when labour will start. Unfortunately for you, baby is still a few weeks away most likely, fortunately for baby, he/she gets to stay nice a cosy for a while longer!

I dropped at about 32wks with both pregs but no1 induced at 40wks1day and no2 came 2 days late naturally.

Good luck and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. The fun is about to start! I love the bump from now on, when you can see them move around like a snake and feel heads, hands and feet sticking out! It's so lovely and enjoyable. I'm not able to have anymore so it makes me so jealous of you!!!
Good luck and best wishes for rest of pregnancy

the bay can drop and even engage but it can stay like that for weeks before labor so that does not mean your going to go into labor early
