i will go in Chicago from 5th to 8th october, i'm looking for an hotel close to downtown, but it seems everything cost more then 100$ at night! Is there anything cheaper, maybe out of the loop, in some nice area and close to a train or metro?

We went this summer and stayed at Club Quarters downtown. I was within walking distance to everything, and was under 100 dollars. You just can't call there for reservations because it's private hotel chain made for business travelers mostly, but it was awesome. If you go to Travelocity you can get reservations though. It's the only place to get them if you don't belong. Small rooms, but a great deal!!

I'm from Chicago and i don't think so because even the ones in Indiana which are about 25 Min's from Downtown are still about $120 but the sky-way and express ways are about five minutes away

You might want to consider staying at a hostel. A simple Google search should turn up results. Good luck!

real simple. what you do is go to expedia.com and check rates or roomsaver.com. then go to priceline and bid about fifteen percent lower. unless its holiday it works every time for me and if you lose on priceline you dont pay. you cant identify the EXACT hotel on priceline but you can get the district or area you want and the star rating. i fly buying collectibles and it does work.

Try the Best Western Grant Park, I stayed there last year and don't remeber it being overly expensive
