I personally think No doubt was better for her. What are your opinions?

I think she is better Solo but it all depends on what type of Genre you like. With No Doubt she was more rock and now solo she's more pop/alternative. I love her either way!

I prefer Gwen from her "No Doubt" days and I can tell you why.

I actually knew Gwen during her days with "No Doubt" in the OC area in Cali. We all used to hang out together after the band I was in opened for her in the OC area at different clubs when she was still small time.

Any way, the reason I like her "No Doubt" days is because that was when she played music because her passion was to do what she loved best and she seemed to relate better to the average musician and not be about the money.

Now she seems to have become commercialized and as a result her music is more "canned" and mainstream. Therefore to me, she doesn't sound as unique and distinct as a solo artist, compared to the unique and distinctive sound she used to have when she was with "No Doubt."

However, there's no denying she is very successful now and I'm happy for her but to me, her days with "No Doubt" don't compare with her solo career.
There just seemed to be an unrivaled comraderie with the "No Doubt" band that doesn't seem to exist with her solo career musicians.

i like her solo. purely for the actuality that it relatively is less complicated to colab with different artists. and additionally, having an all male band with a woman singer is very stressful... i'm beneficial the adult adult males want the songs to be greater approximately manly stuff and Gwen wanted long songs and songs approximately being a woman.
