Hahaha, "Calvin is not good". That made me laugh...
I didn't realize Lucy was being overdone? What a shame. I'm 13 and NOT pregnant or trying, so maybe in 10 years or so it'll be original again :)

I do, but I didn't realize that... (About the comics). But Cal can be short for Caleb! You ever seen East of Eden? They called James Dean Cal <3

I love both. I don't think they are overdone at all. The are both timeless classics that will always be in style. They will never seem dated or trendy.

Calvin was my original choice for my son (who is named Ethan) but I couldn't get over the nickname Cal. It sounds like a guy who works in a field with a tractor who chews grass. So we didn't do Calvin.
Interestingly, both Lucy an Calvin are comic strip characters. Do you like reading the funnies?

Lucy sounds old fashioned. I like the name Calvin, though. I used to have a crush on a guy name Calvin.

Lucy is defiantly not overdone! Its a standout and very feminine. However I do like it better as a nn for Lucinda or Lucia but great choice either way. I dont really like Calvin but it could grow on me. :)

I know a little boy named "Calvin" after his grandfather. At least no one in his class at school has the same name. "Lucy" is cute.

i hate calvin!!! and if u had a kid named caleb i would call him caleb not cal. cal sounds gay. i really like lucy though

Lucy is so-so. Bit old fashioned and very over-done in the last 5-6yrs
Calvin is not good.
Leila and Cameron are nice alternatives.
