Tante T - he is a weasel because he lied about what happened the night Maddy went missing, why change his story? have you read the mans blog??? went jogging today, got my haircut - who cares about that, all we care about is Maddy. All he seems to care about is money and a celeb lifestyle. He and Kate left the children on their own, repeatedly, why did they even bother to take them on holiday in the first place then? Why didn't they use the creche? it's not like they can't afford it. Why were the police not called as soon as they got back back and noticed she had gone? They should be ashamed of themselves - they disgust me!!!!!!

I have the same feelings for both of the McCann's, they are arrogant, neglectful, deceitful people who don't deserve to have children.
Tante T, I cannot agree with your views on the McCanns, but you are more than entitled to them, obviously. Let me just say I have the deepest sympathy for your Aunt for losing her child in such a tragic and horrendous manner, but the cases are completely different. (unless your Aunt and Uncle went out every night, left your niece alone and then she drowned)Accidents do happen, we all know that, but leaving three children under four in an unlocked room in a foreign country and going out every night to places where you cannot see or hear what is going on is neglect, pure and simple. My sympathy goes to your family, in the same way it goes to Madeleine, it does not extend to two so-called educated people who put their enjoyment before their children's safety and welfare.

Very torn. I certainly did not feel any in the beginning for her but at times I do because I believe she is in an abusive controlling relationship. I may change my mind again here pretty soon when new evidence comes to light.

I'm probably too cynical, but I can't muster much sympathy for her at all.
She's not a doorstep, she's trained and qualified as a GP, she's undergone extensive fertility treatment and produced three children, she's gone on record denying they did wrong, she's the one who had planned on visiting Fatima before Madeleine went missing, and guess what, went anyway. She's the one who wanted to see the Pope, and she's the one who's been toting that stuffed animal around for the last three months.
I sniff a martyr.

Of course I do because I would feel so guilty if I was her. Wasn't she married to the father of Maddie when she met Gerry and had an affair? I always think that cheaters have to deal with major karma in their lives.

i have tried to have some sympathy for kate and the rest of the family but for some reason i just do not beleive that they are genuine
she carries that stuffed toy and waears a yellow ribbon in her hair and its creepy , its too fake and contrived , who would use props to show they cared about their child
its all staged
her face tells a completely different tale

I am very torn between deepest sympathy and "self inflicted punishment". Can't be much of a life for her really though.

she was one to neglect her three children through bad parenting and as a result started all this and covered up everything that has happened since. Gerry is also crazy. My answer is a very big N---O

Not here Im afraid.
She's an adult and has not been declared mentally incompetent. That means she is carrying the can for this just as much as Gerry.
Her doe eyes and 'woe is me' expression doesn't cut any mustard with me. Even down to what she says. Its all about what SHE's going through.
Ive never once heard her say 'Oh what must poor Madeleine be going through'
Nope its all about Me, Myself and I with her.
