Which country's citizens are most decent and polite and courteous.?

be honest guys.. u dnt hve to name ur country just to be loyal to it..name ur country if u really feel it that way.

Im an Indian & well Ive travelled to almost 6 countries of the world..Australia,UK,SriLanka,N i g e r i a,Malaysia and Singapore..I was lucky to be in Australia for my higher studies as havng an International culture here in Australia , I got to meet people of diff nationalities...Asians are in bounty here..

I wont name countries which many people have named already... coz most of the countries ..they have named are developed or developing countries...
U know its easy to be frendly,courteous ,decent,happy .. when ur living in propitious circumstances..when ur havng money at ur expense.. when u have good culture and education..proper law and order...ample opportunities to carve out ur lives...nice environment and climate plus nature's blessings...

Yes Japanese & Chinese people are modest,hardworking,intelligent and decent ..but they tend to associate negatives with citizens of other countries..Australians are good too but they are too individualistic..Americans are very authoritative and ignorant...Indians.. well being an Indian I know we are very rude and rough..

Thus these diff. nations' citizens are very good but still with all positives they have.. they show negative traits..so I dnt name them..

Now acc. to me the most courteous,polite,decent and frendly people are of the African continent.. spec. citizens of the countries like N i g e ri a, Kenya,Ethiopia,Uganda,Egypt etc..

Nigeria and Kenya rank topmost.

Inspite of all the desperate circumstances,nature's curses,poverty,malnutrition,under development,anarchy,illiteracy and all the odds against them...they are so selfless,optimistic,frendly,wa r m , polite,decent,courteous and kind...Their hostship and mannerisms are unparalleled in my view..

U can vouch for this that they live in dire straits but have not lost humane values..emotional and universal language of love and brotherhood is their speciality..

I hail in them in deep respect...


{thnks for asking this question.. Im sure by answering it Im able to bring out this aspect of the Dark Continent which many would be unaware of..its time we give Africa and the people of Africa, what they rightly deserve}

I would have to say the Japanese. Since they are very polite
and gracious with American tourists. I have an internet friend
from Japan who sends me things and is always so cheerful
in his postings. He also wants to know about the western
ways, and will send me online pix of products in their stores for me to see and compare with. And recipes too.
I also have a good internet friend from upper UK, and he
acknowleges that those from the lower part of the country are
not as friendly as in his area and he doesn't go south anymore, due to the difference in people down there. He also
sends me things snail mail for me to see his area and will
send pix online of places he visits for a drive, or vacation. He
and his wife seem to be very caring and giving people.

hmm.....i am afraid that, if i say my country name, would i get thumbs down?
Some said Canadians, some others Australia, and still many more...........but for me, every country has it's own special, own way of culture, dressing, food habits, language.............everything differs...........:))
Each and every country have polite and decent people........it's not that only 1 country has those types pf peoples..:)))

We should maintain brotherhood, peace and love among countries!~~:)

I like Canadians very much - they have all of the best characteristics of Americans and almost none of the bad ones.

This may be out of date, but when I was in the Netherlands the people were very friendly and helpful - and they all spoke much better English than I will ever speak Dutch!
