I been married over 3 years. Lived with my husband for only 1 year.He cheated and I was gone ever since. Don't know where he is at and I really no longer care. I hear that he's a low life with no job, living house to house etc. I really want a divorce or annulment!! I know I was young and naive! I'm 22 yrs. old now and he's 29. Just don't know how to start..We have no kids or property. What happens if he can't be located? or if he is located and he does not want to get a divorce? How long would it take? Do I have to face the judge and how long would that be?? I'm sooo stress out with these constant migraines because I really want to be cut loose from him completely!

I'm seriously depress. How much money would it be? Is annulment difficult? What are the procedures? We got married in Nevada, and are living in CA los angeles now. Can I divorce here? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

There are very specific grounds for annulment, and based on the information that you provided, you don’t meet the grounds. You’d have to get a divorce.

If you are a resident of CA (if you’ve lived there for the past 6 months), then you’d file in CA, no matter where you were married.

If you're unable to locate your spouse, then you can ask the court for permission to do a ‘service by publication’ (the summons/petition is served by publication in a newspaper).

Your spouse can’t prevent you from getting a divorce--a judge will grant it in the end, because the court will not make you stay married to someone you don’t want to be married to--but if your spouse fights it, then that will delay the process.

I'd suggest that you seek advice from a local attorney.
