Please don't just say because I was born into it!

@Nelly

interesting point but can one could argue that not all 12 months because a woman is only pregnant for 9 months? so how would you justify that?

We're all born under exactly the right combination of planets in signs to give us the skills we need to navigate our way through our present lifetimes.

Remember, too, that we're all combinations of all twelve signs (even if you don't have planets in a certain sign, it's still there in your natal chart-can't just skip a sign).

EDIT: When you look at your birth chart, it's a wheel, comprised of twelve houses, in which the twelve signs reside.

Example: My sun is in sagittarius in the fourth house, however, the sign on my fourth house cusp is scorpio. Sagittarius actually rules my 5th house. Capricorn rules the 6th, Aquarius the 7th. Pisces rules my 8th house, and even though I have no planets in pisces, the fact that it's there on the cusp of my 8th, means that I express piscean energy in the area of my life that has to do with the 8th house. (house of death and regeneration, also legacies and inheritances, and psychic powers and occult studies). So you see, your birth chart is like a pie that has been divided into twelve slices, and most of the time, each of the twelve signs is going to be on one of the house cusps (sometimes a sign is intercepted within a house, meaning that it's completely contained within a house and doesn't touch a house cusp at all - the sign cusps are all 30 degrees apart, the house cusps vary in distance to each other), therefore even if there is no planet within a certain sign at the time of your birth, that sign's energy will still be expressed through the house that it resides in.

No one is purely one sign alone.

Does that make sense to you?

Hello Aries! I love your sign by the way, I find it very forgiving and nonjudgmental. Being a Virgo I am a bit odd but I wouldn't change it. In my oddity happiness exists. I have a sag dad who always pushes me but I need that cause I'm slow and a procrastinator. My mom is a Scorpio who has some very good retorts. My sis is an aquarian who can be very mean sometimes with her words but I'm mean back when I have to be. My brother is a Virgo too and he's chill a lot of the times. Sometimes he bothers me with what he says too but not as much as my Aquarian sis! I have to learn how to be diplomatic with her. As you can tell my family is a mixture. I've learned a lot from my sag dad on how to be assertive and stronger willed than if I didn't have a sag dad. I look up to him. He has a keen business sense. My sister has made me realize that I don't have to take bad treatment from anyone.

I think they are all great signs to be born under. It has given us the diversity that makes life so interesting. Each and every sign gives something to all either in filling voids we ourselves do not have, or teaching us about our flaws we need to work on. Take just one sign away and it would throw off the balance.

I agree w/ shub- it's good if your astrological sign is compatible w/ your loved ones, if not- love will take care of all differences and people will have to learn to compromise.

I personally like being a Capricorn, because I'm loyal, faithful, considerate, forthright, responsible, hard-working, and good with money. ;-)

all signs ahve some good or bad ...so hard to pick out one...but the best signs to be born in would depend on the signs of the people with whom the born would interact...for instance a mother and childs signs if compatible then it is a good sign for the child...

I like the symbolism of Sagittarius. An all around charismatic character. I also like the innovative, free-spirited Aquarius.
