I dont think we would have. I think by invading a country and trying to turn them into us we are opening our selves up more after we leave (but like that's ever going to happen). All great empires have a rise and a fall. I firmly believe Bush put our fall into motion by ruining the economy, turning many countries against us, and proving our government is all about money, not the freedoms the US was founded on. how another country conducts business is none of our business. Their beliefs, their culture, is not ours to change because we think its not right. They dont think we are right, and their day to invade us and change us is coming. Who's down for Montreal?

By invading Iraq, we created more hatred. They already felt we were interfering with their affairs over there before that. You can read that from the letter the bin Laden wrote to the American people after 9/11.
We went into Afghan, which I believe was right, just wish we had done it a bit sooner than what we did. But Iraq? Come on. What we did was create a hell of a lot more hatred.
And I promise you this, it WILL come back to haunt us. Maybe not tomorrow, or next month or next year, but it will.
Remember, 9/11 wasn't the first try from bin Laden. And it took, what, 10 years to re-try?

Funny, considering a majority of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi, which means the terrorists originated from Saudi Arabia. Who are flooding over the border into Iraq to fight? Saudis.

I pray for the day when Terrorism is destroyed which shames my religion and for the day when unnecessary invasions seize. I do belive that a threat to the USA still would exist if the USA attacked or not cause 9/11 proved the hatred of AlQaeda. Based on GWB good record of protecting the homeland shows that he is doing a good job so I don't think an attack would have happend.

nope we created terrorist the gov over exaggerated the threat.what we have done is help to train a whole bunch of people that went to Iraq to support the insurgency. the terrorist in Iraq are regular citizens from all over the world. when i was in Iraq we caught insurgents from France, England, Jordan, Syria and many other countries. these were jus regular people who did not like the war and came to support the effort.so now because of iraq we have a highly trained force of terrorist and we are at much more risk because of this.
