If I look through a pair of binoculars, I can see a ship out at sea. So could you and the next guy. The ship is true. Melted sand made into glass and polished lenses are easy to comprehend and have faith in. A Christian, on the other hand, will say, and DID say for almost two thousand years, that there can be no ship that far away because the earth is flat and a ship that far away would fall off the edge. When Galileo saw the craters on the moon with his first spyglass, he rushed to the Pope and said, "Look! See with your own eyes! Share in this wonderful vision with me!" The Pope said, and printed it in the newspaper for all to read, that it did not matter what people could see with their own eyes. All that mattered was what he, the Pope, TOLD them was there to see. The Pope refused to look through the telescope. That is not faith. That is stupidity. Religion is a form of animal husbandry, to paraphrase the Pope's own words.
"Look! Look! Share in this wonderful vision with me of an image we recently made of the actual beginning of the Universe:

Wow man that's heavy. I bet atheists don't have as much faith as believers, who probably ooze it from every pore. No-one has a clue about what the universe contains -- people like scientists and astronauts know more than the average joe, but even they are kind of clueless in the large scheme of things. Now you should go watch cartoons or something -- do less thinking and more smiling!

This is a very interesting question do atheist have as much faith as believers if they feel real strongly about that there is not no god i say yes because it would as if believers believe strongly that their is a god. I think its even possible for them to have more faith then a believer because some believers are not sure if their is in fact god.As to the universe its to large to no what it holds or contains therefore the answers no.

atheists are such because their prior faith has been shaken to the core. something happened to them to make them completely out of touch with any higher power. They do still have faith, however. My good friend was an atheist, and she had several deaths in her family that were unfortunate and untimely. These events made her disbelieve in God or anything like Him. What she now has faith in is herself. She now thinks that no one controls her destiny but herself, and that this is the same for everyone. She simply does not think that there could possibly be any higher power that controls what we do. She refuses to think that she is monitored. perhaps one day something else will happen to change her mind again.

i think atheists must have more faith than Believers, to be able to live in this world, see His Creation, BE His Creation every day, and Not believe...
