Is it part of a class/group recital, or an individual performance? If it's a solo performance, and it's free form, then go for what feels the best to you. If it's part of an overall class/group performance, then I'd check to make sure the music would fit the overall theme. But, then again, I'm answering strictly from a musical background, so I'm clueless as to what proper convention is.
All in all, there's nothing at all wrong with standing out. You just want to make sure you're doing so for the right reasons! Break a leg!

Go for it! I love it when people mix in a little something different (like bon jovi with ballet). It'll make it more interesting for the audience and you're obviously in love with the dance so there's no reason not to do it. Have fun and good luck!

Yeah that would be a good song for it, as long as the coreography is powerful enough to keep up with the song. Because the song has a consistent loud beat the dance will have to be very, very strong. So goood luck! :D

sure...even though ballet is usually classical music, there's no rule saying you can't use something else! Good luck!
