Funny you ask, this was the question of much discussion just recently.
I told a few friends that I wanted to have a wake while I was still alive. For those that know me, this was not an unreasonable request. My thinking was to be able to enjoy all of my family and friends while I was still alive. And, so they would know just how much I cared for them when I was alive.
This would also relieve them of having to come to a 'funeral', because I want to be cremated, and my ashes spread out at sea.
Some of my friends thought,,,'man, that sounds like nuts'...others thought I was just in a mood, and still a few others were asking if I was really sick and was just trying to tell them something in my nuts kinda way.
Anyway, my funeral would have few, if any, people.
My wake on the other hand would be a party to remember. No suits, no ties, you couldn't even come if you wore black. Flowered shirts, shorts, drinks in everyone's hands, and stories,,,oh the stories we would be telling. Remember when...
As for the crying...we have done enough of that while trying to exist on this planet...it would be time to celebrate life, family and friendship.
So, crying=hopefully none...laughing, joking, smiling...many

It would be around 500-700 people. I'm not sure how many would cry. I hope not too many, but I know I would cry for them if they died.

I don't really like thinking about it because I know that I'm not liked, and my family probably wouldn't even go. I don't have any friends, and there are only 3 people in my family including me... So probably 2, at most.
