I try to quit focusing on the negative and start thinking about all that I do have. I believe you can train yourself to think in a more positive way just by making yourself think of positive things. like "yes i have this sad little tired chicken wing but on the other hand, somewhere today somebody broke their little chicken wing and mine is still pretty good as new." it'll work believe me. just keep practicing.

and if that fails, go get some ewwie gooey cookie dough ice cream and tell yourself it'll be better tomorrow cuz it probably will be, it always gets better doesnt it?

when is the last time you did an activity that you enjoyed doing when you were a kid? I jumped rope today, it was great!! really a big upper!! go be a kid!

Immerse myself into one of my favourite books or put on my headsets and meditate into the songs I am playing. I am now reading "The Bloodline" by Sidney Sheldon for the 5th time and each time I read it in a different perspective. There are so many things that I missed before. I like especially books that describe the high flyer life. Its so satisfyiing and takes my mind off things. Sometimes you learn how people go through heartaches and disappointments from wild accusations so unfazed. When I concentrade on the wonderful music, I dont care about anything else. When I come of the room, I would forget about anything that had occured before. Its my magic chamber and the books and music, the magic wand. Wonder what the world would be like without music and books. Music especially. It has no bounderies.

I pull myself out of a bad mood by listening to music.

You lift yourself up by thinking only about good things and it helps put all the positive energy back making your bad mood become a good peaceful mood.

The #1 thing I do to better my mood is to focus on the fact that my apparent bad situation is temporary, and that it always gets better. The #2 thing I do is to focus on helping others and concerning my self with them, then, whatever I'm in a bad mood about usually seems insignificant by comparison.

Usually music helps. The mood will dictate the mix. If that doesn't help, then call a friend to get together and get me out of da funk...or da funk out a mee...

An hour or more at a batting cage or driving range will usually do the trick, also.

Anything to get my mind off of the mess

Drive fast on the freeway playing Bad Religion really loud. Then drive back at a leisurely pace on surface streets playing Nick Drake. All better.
