I live in Texas and here we fly the American Flag no problems. I hear that in some places in the US people look down on you for flying it.
Is this true?

I live in California, fly the American flag, am a liberal, and proud of all 3. If these people look down on it, they are free to move.

i live in LA..and I have an American flag in my apartment window. The couple that lives a few doors down from me now refer to me as "the hick"..and some stupid pot head was preaching to me about how by flying that flag im supporting a government that only cares about murder and bombs and war. it makes me so mad..i moved to LA to do modeling..I grew up..well..a lot of places..but mostly Wyoming and Nevada..and its like a totally different world in California. I dont understand how all these people live in America if they seem to hate it so much!

The only people that don't want you flying your flags are those that have no appreciation for what they have. Thousands cross our borders everyday for a better life, which our flag represents. Yeah, in ultra liberal over intellectualized areas of our country it pisses them off.

I've flown Old Glory since 091101 and I'll continue to fly it everyday until All of our Men and Women come back home from Over There.
I would LOVE to have somebody try to tell me to take my Old Glory down.......

ive nvr heard of that but putting it at 1/2 staff or down during day or letting touch ground that is looked down upon for the wrong reasons!
