You can do one of three things. The first requires a fax machine, the second a self-addressed stamped envelope, and the third a strenuous click of the mouse. To get the info the old-fashioned way, call the U.S. Department of State's Office of Overseas Citizens Services at 202-647-5225. Once you get the recording, press one and then two and then spell out the first four letters of the country you're interested in for a recording of the advisory.
To send away for a paper copy of consular information sheets, mail a SASE with the country's name on the outside of the envelope to the Citizens' Emergency Center, Room 4800, U.S. Department of State, Washington, D.C., 20520. For a speedier response, try their fax-back service at 202-647-3000. All you need to do is punch in the first four letters of the country's name and wait for their prompt before entering your fax number. They'll then fax you info sheets on any countries you request.

Now for the tough one: Go straight to the source, the State Department's Web site for travel warnings, http://travel.state.gov/travel_warnings.html.
