I think that while James makes a cool first name for a girl, it can be confusing and most people would assume she was a boy based on the name alone. So I would use it as a middle name instead and pick a very feminine first name. It can be a bit of pressure to be named after someone, so keep that in mind. Also, think about how you would have liked to be named after your grandfather? Would you like his first name for your first name?

Jamie-Lee?
OK. Just know, if you call her naything with James in the first name, her friends may shorten it to Jamie anyway.

Jamma: Cornish for James

Jakobe: Basque for James

Coby/Koby: Short for Jacob, which is Hebrew for James.

Jay-lee: Made it up.

Kimo: Hawaiian for James. (So...Kimolee?)

Jacme: Provencal for James (Pronounded Jack-mee, so could be shortened to Jac, or Jackie)

Or, defy gender-sterotypes and call her James Lee. Direct, exactly what you want, and very unique.

After all, people thought naming a girl Ashley was insane, and see where that went. :)

Happy Motherhood!

Sorry if someone has already said this, but you could incorporate both his first and middle names into something. I like Jalea or Jaylee/Jaylea
Hope this helps!
PS. I don't like Jamieson coz one of my friends is named that and he's a guy. But thats my opinion!

I think James is a super cute middle name for a girl. My friend named her baby Kaylee James (James was after her grandpa). We call her KJ for short.

there is a model named James King, she was also in the movie Pearl Habor. I think her name is beautiful and even considered it for our baby but we have a boy and used James as his middle name.
