I'm nonplussed that the TCs are such a mercurial lot. Subconscious penitence? And "jealous?" is a fantastic defense reaction. Classic.. An ignis fatuus of grandeosity.hahaha-Yes, I am jealous ! I was planning to use "YA Top Contributor" as the header on my resume.... I wanted to have a sorbiquet which implied that I am constantly idle.Do you get a certificate with a gold star or a tin foil crown?

Ha ha you are just jealous!

I used to have a TC badge, and I have kids and a husband.
Our children are 2 and almost 4 so I'm busy.
I just have the comp on all day and come on for 10 min at a time throughout the day!

Some ppl do that at work too!

Of course, we have a life! Getting TC badge does not mean we have to have 5000+ best answers. It is the percentage of best answers in a category.

I have lots to do outside my computer hours. Being a prolific amateur photographer, I am out and about all the time getting my photos.

Also - TC badge is dynamic. You can lose them if your contribution is not up to the same level. Case in point - I used to have three (maximum allowed) TC badge but because I have not been getting best answers in two of the categories lately - I now only have one.

See below for explanation from Y!A help site:

Top Contributor is a member of the Answers community who has shown that they are knowledgeable in a particular category. Each Answers user can be a top contributor in up to three categories.

The top contributor badge is dynamic, you earn it or lose it depending on your recent participation in a particular category. The more actively you contribute, the more likely you will earn a badge

I get on here at work or late at night when I can't sleep.

Not because I don't have a life. I actually have a very busy life full of great people, I'm in the process of moving so I'll be starting another great job, I have time to excersize, I spent lots of time outdoors, etc.

Life's great......Just because I spent maybe an hour online a day doesn't mean I have no life.

But thanks for the two points.

Judge much?

Thanks for your concern but my life is very well-balanced.

Aside from the time spent earning my living, I talk with my family regularly (they don't live in this state), spend time with friends every week and I exercise daily. My hobbies include hiking, biking, running, dancing, nature photography, writing, reading, sewing, chess, juggling devil sticks, goofing off in Answers, ... and I can while away hours tossing a frisbee back and forth at the park when it's not triple digit temps in my corner of the desert. (Notice TV is not on my list.)

Type at you later, it's time for my bike ride.

I'm just amazed that they can have such a high percentage of best answers. I try sooooo hard and I still can't get above 8 percent.

Excuse me son, it just takes more than 79 points in a week, that's all.
I have two in P&S and I'm hardly here that much any more, just a little perseverance.

Yes, I have a life. Thank you for your concern. It is much appreciated.

lol - I bathe and you have never had the pleasure to do anything with me. Since I am typing this, I am obviously still alive. It is an amazing ability to be able to smell someone virtually.
