Nothing is wrong with being single!!
but I guess after a while everybody gets tired of the questions that friends and family hurl at you. eg: "So, do you have a BF/GF yet?" and "Oh! I know just the right guy/girl to set you up with!!" (and that person turns out to be a total jerk/*****)

I am getting all these questions from families as I am not out to them yet. Such a pain!!

LOL Rae, Wrong section for sure (((Rae))). but, to answer your question. There is nothing WRONG with being single at all, IF that's what makes you happy. AS one of the other answerers here already mentioned, even Gay and Lesbians have those issues for themselves TOO. Enormous hugs to you folks for pointing out that we ALL share the same needs and by that pointing out that we're ALL the SAME, no matter what are our gender preferences. You guys are GREAT!

AS for ME, Rae, I've been single for a long time. It IS lonely, not having someone around to just hold a decent conversation or to have someone to hold and give a loving hug. Or to have that someone give YOU a loving hug when you're feeling down and sad and abused by the world. I suppose it's just a matter of what makes one feel most comfortable and most loved, for some being single gives them all those needs and for others they get that by being in a close, monagamous relationship. Hope this helps answer that for you Rae. ((((((Rae))))))

I've got NO idea... I am...-& its "worked for me"... And I think there are probably a lot of people out there- who would be a LOT better off- if they STAY single; or had they STAYED single; or if they went BACK to being single! As with alot of things, marriage isn't for everyone. And marriage for the sake of conformity- is a nightmare waiting to happen.

Nothing. It's very liberating for me, actually. However, after almost two years of being single (my last boyfriend and I broke up October 4, 2005), it *does* start to get lonely...

I've had several guys ask me out, but I turned 'em all down since I'm a lesbian, soo... yeah.

*Sob* It's beginning to get extremely lonely! I want a gf!!! lol

God designed men and women to complete each other.

"Opposites attract", and sometimes the sexes are painfully opposite!

A husband has been described as "a child who won't grow up and leave you".

Being alone might be OK while you're young; but when you're a grandmother's age, you''ll wish you had grandchildren!

By single do you mean alone, unattached, or near celibate? If merely unattached, make sure you don't forget about pleasure, at least find a little sweet savour here and there.
