Sure have, in my marriage. I did everything i could to make sure my husband was happy, asked him how to please him, and did it. I went beyond the call of duty as a wife to keep my husband happy.
Still wan't enough. He needs other women to please him too.
Can you say a.s.s.hole

Just when I think I am running on empty and then something occures where I have something to contribute to help, God gives grace in the form of physical, mental, and spiritual strength be it money, hugs, encouragement, letter, phone call, constructive advice, etc.

When doubt creeps in that I haven't done enough-I realize I am not God and I cannot fix the world let alone someone I know who needs help that for some reason I am not qualified or able to give but I can do the utmost powerful things anyone can do and that is pray for that person because nothing is impossible with God. Wow

i once did, thought it was enough, but like a splash of cold water, someone made me realize it was never enough. now, 'm beginning to hold back, but not enough that i can't reach it, just enough so it wont hurt me and won't go to waste. i might have given more the first time, but i'm making sure i give just enough to get what i want. =)

Yes. She still passed away. Profoundly sad.

But that doesn't stop me from continuing to help others. That's what life is all about -- "getting back up on the horse."

quite often -- You have to appreciate your own efforts rather than expect someone else to recognize them and reward you.

If you look at the situation objectively at a later time, you may be able to learn from your mistakes so that you can give it all you've got the next time.
