The triangle is roughly located between Bermuda, Southern Florida and the Antilles. People claim that there is an inordinate number of mysterious sinkings, tidal waves or outright disappearances, which (of course) are due to aliens abducting the disappearing vessals or planes. The most spectacular of these was the disappearance of a squadron of five planes in a training mission in late 1945 followed by the disappearance of a rescue plane. The taped conversations with the squadron suggest that some weird things happened that made them get hopelessly lost, and they ditched in the ocean never to be found, except in some movies.

I think I remember this from a "Wild On! Bermuda Triangle" episode. The three points forming the Bermuda Triangle are Miami, FL; Puerto Rico, and of course Bermuda.
