Graphics card: Supports DirectX 10
The 8600 GTS ($150 @ newegg,com) is about 15% faster than the 8600GT
The 8800 Ultra ($580 to $900) is 2-3 times faster than the 8600 GTS depending on the game.

Intel currently makes the 3 fastest processors for gaming. See charts below.

For serious gaming I would build my own computer using a core 2 duo processor with the option to upgrade in a year or two to the core 2 extreme when the prices come down.

Probably could build Intel based Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.67 GHz); 2GB RAM; 8600 GTS; 500W PS for about $700 less monitor, speakers, and software.

very solid specs, i'm making plans on development a device for gaming later this 12 months and that i could have offered quite lots precisely the comparable. Like somebody reported, get the 2500k fairly than 2500 notwithstanding if it incredibly is no longer lots greater funds, and probably 1600mhz RAM. Ebuyer ftw eh?

the Video card is DX10 compliant I can guarantee you, so vista is a go. You might even get away with buying a second copy of the card if youre daring and set them up in parallel using SLi (assuming your motherboard has 2 PCI-e x16 ports.

Its got power. Have fun.

Dell USB keyboard and mouse? Ugh:

Does your computer have Ethernet? Oh dear....

Good specs. Consider the overclocked version of 8600GT. And protect that setup with a good power supply. ATX V2.2 or 2.3 would be great.
