I would like to know if any of you know of anything that could possibly help us conceive. eg: cough syrup, sit with hips elevated, etc. Anything that you have heard of helping would be greatly appreciated...even if it's an old wise tell. =]

we haven't been stressing about it. also, we do not have sex just to have a child. just to clarify that.

I've been trying for 9 months and am giving up and leaving it up to God. Just pray to God that you get a baby. When God decides it's your time to get pregnant then you will get pregnant and not before.

I am also trying to conceive. I have read that you can get the Instead cups(has rubber ring with plastic cup) that are normally used for menstruation, and insert them immediately after sex to help hold the sperm near the cervix. The company that makes instead is planning to market these as a fertility aid as well as for menstruation according to an article I read. Hope this helps :)

It can take up to 2 years for a healthy couple to get pregnant. Trying too hard can cause enough stress to put off getting pregnant. Try not having sex too often. This is one of the biggest misconceptions. People think having sex everyday increases your chances, when it is the opposite. Having sex too often can decrease sperm count. Try waiting until about 10 days after the first day of your period and have sex every OTHER day until day 16.

Woman with 28 day cycles usually ovulate 14 days BEFORE the first day of your period! Not after who ever said that is mistaken! This is what the luteal phase is! Most womans is 13-14! Mine is 13! But not everyone has a 28 day cycle! Stop trying! Seriously when you dont want one they come! Its the stress of trying that makes it hard! Stress delays lots of things!

you should check this website:
www.webmd.com
there is message boards kinda like these answers and they have a pregnancy section. Real physicians check the message boards and answer questions as well. You know when I wasn't trying it just sorta happened. It was about 10-12 days after my period started. You can try charting your basal body temp. which is also listed on webmd.com there's tips how as well.

Getting to know your cycle can be your best tool. Have you tried keeping track of your basal body temperature? A great site for charting this is www.fertilityfriend.com. You will then know approximately when you are ovulating and be able to time intercourse just perfectly to get pregnant. Good luck.
