I really don’t know she mentioned a few months ago that she was working on some book aimed at children younger then the Harry Potter age bracket. The fact is I think Harry Potter will always be what she is known for no matter how many books she writes.

Also Jo is not writing the encyclopedia to explain book 7, she has said for some years that she might do an encyclopedia book. This is designed for avid fans who want to know nearly anything she will share about the HP world and its characters, from all the various notes she has. This encyclopedia will have more information about characters whom Jo had a back story for but did not make it into the book, like Dean Thomas. Jo has often said he had a very rich back story but most of it did not make into the series. Perhaps scenes that did not make it into the books, etc. Information on Harry’s grandparents, some about Hermione parents as we learn very little about them other then they are dentists and thus likely muggle rich. This book is going to be designed for hardcore fans not your average book reader, who just reads and that’s it, and could care less if they know the names of Mr. and Mrs. Evans[Lily and Petunia’s parents], the year they died, know what James and Lily did for a job after school, even Sirius, Remus and Peter, etc.

I dont think that she should write another book.

Its too much of a risk

she should leave while she is at the top.

If she wrote another book it would still make her millions of dollars. (like all of the HP movies make money even though they aren't that good)

It will still be and ok and have dept to it unlike Eragon/Eldest

But the hype like there was on HP will never ever be there again in an other book 'cept maybe the HP encyclopedia.

The way she wrote Harry Potter is like it is somewhat true or its in a different dimension
Harry Potter is in its own league. If you think Eragon is good Harry Potter is Superb unbeatable totally in a different league. It also has a lot of Hype at the moment because it is in our generation. We waited for all of the books to come out. We saw the spoilers online waited with so much suspense.

Harry Potter is the best series of the past present and the future for all people who like books of all ages in all the generations to come.

well she said that she wants to take a break for a while and spend time with her family enjoying the no-deadline life. however, she is currently in the middle of writing two things. one is for children and one isn't. she says one of them will probably take over. she also says that she will definitly keep writing. i don't think anything will be as good as harry potter and she will probably go for a different genre now. i really hope everything she does isn't compared to harrypotter.

she will also write an encyclopeia on harry potter indlucing background informaiton on characters that was cut out of the books and other information on what happens after deathly hallows.

She specifically can not write anything like Harry Potter again however good she is. I and her alike believe that a person gets one great idea like that in their life. Of course, no one can be sure.

I think she might do some small children's books here and there. But maybe that's it. She's set for life after Potter. Its a good time to relax.
