A lake is nice if you are landlocked.

Hope to see you all at the beach!

Now who will rub some lotion on my back for me? LoL! :-D

Thanks for asking.

While I prefer mountains, going to the beach has been a treat in my life for many years. The best way I suggest is to go later, spend a few hours, eat, read, watch the ocean, even go in for a while into the water, and stay to watch a really great sunset and walk along the beach with the right person--then go out to dinner.
Even if I just am able to go and stay near the water in the morning, at a yacht harbor, it's a different world--boat rentals, bait shops, ground squirrels, blue awnings, big plate-glass picture windows, balconies, the ocean and the gulls...

But the answer is: I haven't gotten to go once this year, again. But I'm still trying. Hope you make it to where the sand greets the surf more often than I do.

I live at the beach, so yes, I've been there. The summers here are foggy almost every day, though. The beach starts really getting nice when the offshores kick in by late August/early September. Time to break out my boogie board. And wetsuit. I'll need it.

No :'(
I grew up on the lake basically. Only half hour away now, but don't drive and haven't had the oppurtunity come up when I wasn't already busy.
Yeah I would go swimming everyday if I could.

Yes, I got home on July 30th. I would love to go one more time before the season ends but I doubt I'll get the chance.
