after having travelled widely around the world, i still feel india is one country where a dollar can get a decent local breakfast, make a quick international call to ur loved ones, a ticket to the movies, a bus ride across the city, a tee shirt, buy a toy for a child, you could buy an entry ticket to a museum or a zoo...
i could go on n on :) but i do hope you get my point!

For your $ 1 or our Rs.40/- there is practically very meager value left. I can hardly fill the starving belly of a poor man for one time. India has also become costly now and people require more money for moderate living.

I suggest you instead of buying anything for one dollar you can donate it to Mata Amritanandamayee Trust, who are doing many social service works such small donations, from many persons like you, will come as a big help for the trust to do something tangible to the society.-

close to nothing...India's economy is on the rise and dollar value is decreasing day by day...so a packet of lays,a cold drink or a mc donalds burger without a coke....

Rs 40 is enough for the b/fast. One sandwich, soft drink/coke and one bottle mineral water.
