Genesis as a group.
The sound and style they had together was great. Each one has talent, but the chemistry they had collectively was powerful.

I'm not even sure if i would recognize a Genesis song with Peter Gabriel. Phil Collins has been the lead singer for as long as I have been a fan. Peter Gabriel's material is adequate, but I think Phil Collins is a better sing.

Peter Gabriel's solo output is generally more consistently exciting and interesting. His third and fourth albums ("Melt" and Security/Peter Gabriel IV) are among my all-time favorite albums.

I love Peter Gabriel/Steve Hackett era Genesis, but after a few years without them, Genesis became just another pop band that though immensely popular, simply sounds worse to the modern ear than the original stuff.

Phil Collins was an amazing drummer, but apart from his songs "In the Air tonight" and "I don't Care Anymore", his solo stuff is way too annoying and poppish for me to handle.

Genesis as a whole, Phil Collins solo was pretty boring and I don't really remember much of Peter Gabriel.

Genesis as a whole had a few pretty good songs though.

Peter Gabriel. His creativity astounds me. Genesis kind of went down the tubes after he left. As for Phil Collins...well that's why they say drummers should never sing. His solo stuff is pretty bland.

Peter Gabriel, he sold out the least and experimented the most.

i always liked Genesis as a whole, but teh first ten or eleven chapters are my fav.

They give a good acoount of creation, and the fall of man, all the way up through Noah. Lots of good teaching and theology in Genesis. And it is fulll of history.
