It's not too late. Get a hospital grade pump and pump every 2-3 hours for 3-5 days and the milk will come back. You can also get a prescription for a drug called "reglan" which will help your body produce milk if it's stopped or slowed down. Call your ob-gyn, they can get you the rx for the pump and for reglan.

If your baby is very young, you can have him/her nurse as often as possible and it will be comforting to the baby as well as bring in your milk.

There are also herbs and foods that can help with milk production like oatmeal, fenugreek seeds, and plenty of water.

Good luck and email me anytime if you need any support.

Also, check out this site for info about relactation.

No, it shouldn't be. Try nursing your baby every 2 hours then pump after nursing as well. Your body should react and begin producing milk.

Try contacting La Leche League online. They are great advocates for breastfeeding and would be able to answer any more questions.

Good luck and good job.

everyone is different...but my bet is you are still producing very small amounts of milk.

To build up your supply you will need to keep pumping on and off for a few days, and have your baby try to feed.

You should contact a lactation consultant, and work under their guidance if possible.

All the best!!

Not if your milk has stopped completely. If you've gone through the stage where your breast swelling has come and gone, you're too late. If not, try pumping several times a day to increase your milk production.

I don't think so if you can't manually pump any milk out now. But I have heard of a medication that your ob/gyn could prescribe that helps women breastfeed that normally couldn't
