We've become a society where putting blame on the government is the easiest when things don't go right. I'm not saying I'm perfect and I know I've said some things about the government. When does the system work if nobody is ever happy with the government.

Our government was founded "of the people, by the people, for the people," and if the people aren't happy, they have every right to voice their opinions. I'm sure there have been governments where people didn't constantly complain, because they didn't have the same rights and freedom of speech (in case you didn't know, our soldiers are risking their lives so Iraqis can have those same freedoms)

I doubt that any society with citizens that have the ability to speak freely is safe from complaint about government. Unfortunately there are also governments that terrorize their citizens to the point that there is no complaint. Just be happy that we are able to voice our complaints rather than face brutal consequences for doing so.

Yeah. They are called dictatorships.

You may wish to speak to some that were living in the Pol Pot regime. They might be able to enlighten you on what happened if you spoke ill of the government during his time running the country.

Wow. Go to your happy place now and figure out why you are in the political section of Y!A if negativity upsets you so. . .

If nobody complains about the government, they become all powerful. Like the anecdote about Mao Tse-tung and his ideas on agriculture. No one would contradict him, so farmers went along with his deep planting idea and starved.

If a tree falls in the woods does it still make a sound.

People are quick to complain about others as opposed to being personally responsible themselves.

When no one complains, they live in a dictatorial, supressive regime with no rights and no constitution.

Well, be happy that we are only typing out our frustration and not burning down anything important.
