By comfortable, I mean you don't feel you have to act super macho or try to be something your not, just to please others. That you can except yourself and your limitations. That you don't feel threatened by people who are different than you, even if they are bigger, smarter or of a different culture or race. That you don't feel the need to "put down" others just to make yourself feel "bigger"

I finally came to the conclusion that I only get to live this life once and worrying about how I look to others is such a waste of my short time here. I am far from perfect but I am happy with that. Being perfect is overrated....and stressing to be perfect is a waste of time. I also realized that caring what others do with their lives is a waste of time as well. People should live this life the way they wish. I am comfortable with myself and I am happy I can say that and mean it.

I didn't become totally comfortable with myself until my 30s. I never really felt threatened by others, I was just more self-conscious.

after my divorce...Because my ex was always putting me down. I was unsure of myself. But after we split up, I got to know myself and find out I really like me and I know I am a decent person. I like myself a lot better now and feel comfortable with who I am as person.
