A perimeter is A closed curve bounding a plane area.
or The length of such a boundary. Thus if you have a rectangle or any closed figure with sides, the perimeter is the length of the sides. For a circle, the length is found using a formula 2piR where r is the radius, pi = 3.1415926535....

It is not said like" a perimeter"
It is said like this perimeter
The perimeter is the measurement of the sides of shapes.
Example: A square has four sides. One side has a perimeter of 5 inches. What is the perimeter of the square. It is 20 inches. The four sides of a square are equal so you add 5+5+5+5 and you get 20. Or you could multiply and make it an algebraic expression.( an expression is when there is an x and you have to guess what that is) 5*4=x. x=20 inches. So you got the perimeter. Try doing the same with a pentagon or triangle.
Do not try this for a circle. In that you need to find the circumference which you'll get into later on. Hope this helps

The perimeter is the distance around a given two-dimensional object. The word perimeter is a Greek root meaning measure around, or literally "around measure".
Perimeter is used in calculating the border of an object such as a yard or flowerbed when a fence or other border is being installed around the edges.
Formulas
Polygons
As a general rule, the perimeter of a polygon can always be calculated by adding all the length of the sides together. So, the formula for triangles is P = a + b + c, where a, b and c stand for each side of it. For quadrilaterals the equation is P = a + b + c + d. For equilateral polygons, P = na, where n is the number of sides and a is the side length.

To find the perimeter you add the sides or use a special calculation if you have a circle or round object

A perimeter is basically the sum of all the sides of a shape.
If you have a triangle add up three sides.
If you have a circle, you'll have to use a formula.
For any polygon (shape) this applies, as long as it's a 2-d shape.
If you have a 3-d shape it's called surface area.
Good Luck!

it is actual however the Lakers could end enjoying like this. Their offense have been good and yet another take carry of three from Kobe. however the undesirable protection and a bad activity retaining those 2 double digit leads have been somewhat the killers in this game. good information, Lakers nevertheless extra useful than Celtics... undesirable information, Cavs are actually #a million team in NBA (checklist smart) BQ: Nope, I wore my blue previous college Lakers jersey.
