I'm signing up for direct deposit and I also have a Washington Mutual debit card. I'm in the process of applying for it but I don't understand these questions :

-New Account Number ?
-Confirm Account Number ?
-Routing Transit Number ?

* I don't see how these questions pertain to a debit card.

direct deposit needs your account number to your wamu account. direct deposit needs a routing number, which is located on the bottom portion of your check. you can take your check book and go to the place you are applying for direct deposit, and they will write the routing number out so that they can send your check by wire. new account number is your account number, if they ask it again when you already gave it, then seek customer service or you can go on. confirm account means you need to verify your account you gave. good luck, direct deposit is a good way to go, make sure you check online or frequently to see that the money was transferred right.

I think the first one is yes or no but it will probably be your checking account number.
Confirm means give it to them again(you knew that one!)
Routing transit number is going to be the first group of numbers on your personal check. There are exceptions to this so you may need to call the bank. Some of the banks have set up an alternate routing number for large amounts of money so if you direct deposit an amount over $5000. I would call the bank and ask what the routing number for larger deposits are. Good luck

A debit card is one where the money is taken directly from a cash account at the time it is used. No paying bills later.

They are asking the numbers of the account to associate with this account. It's probably your checking account.

Don't do this online. Go into your bank and tell them you want a debit card for your checking account.

You have to sign up with the ACCOUNT information on the direct deposit form. That's how they send you the deposit. (They can't send it directly to a debit card.)

Then you access the money via your debit card.

In other words, you'll have to have the actual savings/checking account number AND the routing number to sign up for the direct deposit.
