Can I make him materialize? He's always slamming the doors, I think he's mad at me.

An exorcist couldn't help Emily Rose, how could he help me? I'm not even religious.
Plus, the ghost's kinda cool. I call him Ed.
I just want to meet the guy!

Of course you can make a ghost materialize! Haven't you heard of the Lady in Red?
Actually, you probably haven't.

Materialization is often limited to the perceptivity of the observer.
The average ghost is usually that of a bad person who is afraid to go into the Light, and will do whatever it takes to unnerve the residents of a house. They will move stuff, make words with objects (pretzel sticks in one case), jump on you while you are asleep (sometimes attempt rape), and generally make a nuisance of themselves.
I would suggest getting something called a "smudge stick" ... light it and walk through the house (from the back forward, with the front door open) talking to the ghost, telling him that he does not have permission to be there and that he must leave. Basically you are claiming your territory.
There are other things you can do to make him feel less welcome:
Hit the local health food store and get some essential oil: anything like sage, cedar, pine, myrrh, frankensense, and the like, and smear that on the effected doors, and around your bed, windows, etc.
I would suggest burning some sage before going to bed... the smoke is pretty clearing.

Eww, you don't want to do that really? Believe me, once you see a ghost, you can't help but being terrified! I've never heard of making one appear; not even on 'Ghost Hunters' or 'Most Haunted', have they? People I've talked to said they talk to a ghost normally. (?) I really choose not to talk to them!You can ask to give you a sign, or try to take pictures and see if they are in it. Also just tell him to quit slamming the doors. When I've seen ghosts, it's always just for a few seconds and they are gone, but long enough I see what they are wearing, how they look, etc. Good luck and let us know if you see it!

Just try asking him questions. Come up with a system for one slam being yes and two no or whatever. Small children are more open to ghosts. Have one come over to ask questions.

when we have had ghosts, we have asked them to leave us alone, we tell them this is our house now and they are welcome if they are good and kind, but if they can not be here in peace, then they have to leave. this worked several times as our house seems like a hub for ghosts sometimes. he might just be slamming doors out of anger for what happened to him in his life, not because he is mad at you. good luck

Well I would call a Medium,
and I would get the Medium to talk to the ghost,
or possibly, get a wigiboard.
But if you every encounter an angry spirit, protect yourself with salt or iron, or anything thats pure. That would repel spirits from attacking but it won't kill it.

Ignore it. That usually gets their attention. They hate being ignored. Maybe then it will talk to you.

do u watch Sylvia Brown(not sure if i spelled that right) Wednesdays and 4 on montel.... anyways. she says your most of them don't know that they are dead, you should talk to them calmly, tell them that that are dead and this is not their home. tell them that they need to go to heaven... but talk calmly.

Sharon...stop playing with this "spirit" and go to an annointed church that is really doing the work of the Lord and tell them to get to your house and rebuke and claim back your home in Jesus name...tell them what is going on and have them come cleanse your home...do you know someone who is really doing God's wok and not just putting on a show...?...please ask them to help you...call them NOW...!
