Yes, Polk Salad is really yummy. I also like dandelion greens and will pick chestnuts, black walnuts and pecans. Blackberries grow wild in the field across the road from me and you better believe my boys and I have fun picking and eating those.

Yes, wild strawberries and blackberries. Around here japanese plums and palm fruit are excellent. We also have wild grapes
and mulberries. There is another weed that has a tuper that tastes like a carrot but I forgot the name. There are hundreds of wild edible foods here in the south east. Most people don't even bother.

Why I say grass, which looks like what grows on our lawn,
this is about eighteen years ago...My son, 16 his girlfriend 16,
and two of his and hers friends 18 and 17 went to New York.
Their friends live about 8 blocks from us, and I have knew them all since they were little. We have two living rooms..
so they could watch TV, play computer games, etc, while us
adults watched TV downstairs and talked. Naturally, I went upstairs to make sure they had food, snacks, soda etc.
