hipocarcy upon hiporcarcy

durning the confrimation hearings the dems where slowing confrimations. so the repub. tried to pass the nuclear option.

(note:the nuclear option is not a new idea. the dems tried to passit once befor)

so republicans you are no smarter than the demicrats

SO THE REAL QUESTION
why didnt either side vote for the nuclear option when they where in the minority knowing that sooner or later they would be in power to take advantage of it?

it has to do with geting rid of the rule saying you must have 60 yes (we want to vote) votes to then bring an up or down vote

Because they didn't have enough votes. Because Sen. Johnson is still out, the Dems can only muster 49 votes at the most. Even if it was a tie Cheney would cast the deciding vote.

There is NO nuclear option. Once we decide to go down that road, the whole Earth will be blown to Kingdom Come.

There is no nuclear option. Nuclear is not an option, it is a long lasting poisoning of any place that it is used at.
Rational people do not elect the nuclear option.

Anyway, I think most of them know that many Americans kind of shirk away from the idea of using nuclear power. There are quite a few things that could go wrong, and not many want to take that chance. Many of the Democrats stated they'd look into it, but they wouldn't fully explore it yet, which I think is a smart decision.

It is not obvious what "nuclear option" you are referring to. Has this to do with nuclear power plants, or rather with nuclear weapons?
