I am an aspiring actress (theatre actress). I am 14 years old. I have been in the following plays:

Hepcats - Aunt Jenna Rae
Lewis and Clark - Sacajawea
Nowhere to Run - Julie
Anne of Green Gables - Anne Shirley
Best Christmas Pageant Ever - Grace Bradley
The Story of the Newsies - Student Director
Fiddler on the Roof - Chava
Beauty and the Beast - Chorus
Sound of Music - member of the bowing trio
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor dreamcoat - 3rd Narrator

I also played the lead role in a short film that will be entered in a film festival.

I have also taken a semester of Ballet and I took a theater dance class over the summer. I was in choir from age 7 to 11, and also 13 and 14, and I have taken piano lessons since I was 7. I took voice lessons this past summer and I am going back to choir in the fall. I will continue to practice the things I learned in the voice lessons.
I'm going to try out for "Meet me in St. Louis" in the fall

Any suggestions on how to improve?

It sounds like what your doing is fine the more you perform the more experience you'll get. Refining your skills at an acting college is a good idea, but you'll know when you've really got the hang of performing, you'll always improve on what you last did and you'll know what you need to improve on yourself it helps to have someone you trust at your performances to tell you the absolute truth and not the crap that goes along with alot of the theatre crowds, also defend your performance to the hilt and always have good reasons for why you did things the way you did on stage!

Maybe try to round yourself out a bit so you can get into a good college. It's there where you meet people who can make you go all the way (if you really want to) It sounds like you are a pretty good actress already, so just keep honing your skills, but again, explore other possibilities. At the very least, they will give you experience that can help you when you are on stage.

You sound very musical and that's great, but don't underestimate the ability to act, the necessity for acting, and that it is harder than it looks. Simply beng able to cry on cue does not make a good actress, and it is something that needs to be studied just like ballet, piano, and voice.

Keep taking private lessons and keep performing. Your first answer is kind of right, providing you go to the proper college.
Problem is there are very few colleges worth going to for acting. Most general theatre majors are a waste of time if you just want to act. Contact me and I will recommend a school for you. Read my profile by clicking on my name by this answer.

Keep doing what you are doing and when you are older you will have loads of experience. If auditions come up , go for them!
