Try Ortho Ant Bait, it is a sticky liquid you put on cardboard squares that come with it, I like yogurt lids better, Don't put it inside the house it attracts them in to get it, I put it in the crawl space under the house that way the ones inside and the ones headed inside go to the dishes and eat the stuff and get it on their feet and they take it home and kills the whole nest. Works Great.

You can get an outside/inside product called ORTHO-HOME DEFENSE from any hardware, home improvement or drug store... You spray it along the outside perimeter of the home/dwelling as well as on the inside perimeter.. It kills spiders, ants, and other bugs. Just read the directions and be careful of children/pets.. You can also get ant baits and put those in corner on the countertops.. and along baseboards... Just be mindful of children/pets.. The ortho product is guaranteed, just save your receipt... Also, your landlord should reimburse you. Good luck

Use Terro Ant Killer it is the best. When you first put it down you will see them flock to it but let them eat it and take it back to the nest, it will kill the whole colony and within a matter of days there will be no more ants.

Those little Raid ANT traps don't work. After reading ALL YAHOO answers about how to get rid of ants, I did a little experiment at home. I basically closed in a couple ants by building a fortress around the ants using the Raid ANT traps. None of the ants wanted to even go in them (even though everyone tells me they are attracted to stuff inside. And, I also sprinkled baby powder a few inches around the perimeter to make sure they didn't escape -- basically this whole trap was to see them go inside the Raid Ant Traps. None of them went IN nor did they care about the baby powder (another advice to safely keep ants "away" not kill them) because they just crawled over it.
