What is it about teachers that makes putting one in space such a priority? I mean, why not a musician? Or why not a farmer - after all, farmers are the backbone of any nation.

Who taught the musician and the farmer ? and she is not a teacher anymore she is an astronaut and has been for quite a while now. but she hopes to go back to teaching.

Because there is to many of them down here on the ground that don't know what they are doing, so space is a better place

so they never come back and kids don't have to suffer any more....kidding...i don't really know, maybe if it's a science teacher they could teach the kids better about astronomy???
